PYNE, Janet Marie (Adams) of Harrison, formerly of Montrose, age 76, died November 19, 2015 at her home in Harrison, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 23, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. Dan Pugh officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 3PM.
Janet was born in Flint Michigan on August 12, 1939 to the late Jack and Elaine (Bronson) Adams. She was a resident of Swartz Creek, Michigan and later became a resident of Montrose all of the life retiring to Harrison, Michigan in 1996. She and her late husband, Victor wintered in Texas until his passing in 2007. She continued to winter in Texas until 2015. She married Victor Owen Pyne on September 10, 1956 in Angola, Indiana. She retired as Deputy Clerk for the city of Montrose in 1995 with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her late husband, fishing, hunting, line dancing, Bingo, casino gambling and her great joy was spending precious time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: 4 children, Gregory (Roseann) Pyne of Harrison, MI, Gary (Julie) Pyne of Bridgeport, MI, Michael (Brenda) Pyne of Harrison, Rebecca (Tony) Hunter of Los Fresnos, Texas; sisters-in-law, Vera Huber of Montrose, Muriel Rabb of Montrose, Sally Adams of Port Huron and Bonnie Adams of Montrose; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by, husband Victor Owen Pyne, daughter, Debra Jean Pyne, great granddaughter, Sarah J. Colton, great grandson, Gabriel Pyne, brothers, Robert and Raymond Adams, sister-in-law, Barbara Scafuri and Mona Emmendorfer and brother-in-law Al Huber.
