Betty Ann Switalski, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Pines of Goodrich. She was born in Flint on November 3, 1929 to parents Lewis and Techla Switalski. Betty was a faithful member at All Saints Catholic Church. She worked at Zack Company for many years until she retired. She enjoyed flower gardening and visiting the patients at the VA hospital with her dog Dolly. Betty is survived by her sister, Grace Thomas; many nieces and nephews; her lifelong friends: Helen and Anne Koza. She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers: Donald and Harold Switalski. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Pines of Goodrich and Betty’s hospice nurse, Kim with Hometown Health & Hospice, for their everyday attention and compassionate care. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, February 22, 2016 at All Saints Catholic Church (4063 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing). Father Tom Firestone officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 3-7pm at Reigle Funeral Home (5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing), and one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society of Genesee County. |
