BROWN, Frank T. - Of Flint, age 75, died Monday, March 23, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 South Ballenger Highway, Flint,
Reverend Jeffrey B. Walsh officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Visitation 5-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint and 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the church.
Frank was born in Kennett, Missouri on February 11, 1940 the son of the late Frank and Geneva Brown. Frank moved to Flint in 1949. On September 2, 1972, he married Eve Philley. Frank was employed with GM SPO from 1965 to 2001. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, was a member of the choir and Praise Team and Director of Outreach and Missions. Frank was also a member of the CMI Concert Choir, Flint Catholic Urban Interdenominational Choir and sang solo at many churches, including Central Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are wife, Eve;
daughters, Jacqueline (Avin) Bhajan and Natalie Baptiste;
grandsons, Isaiah and Elijah Baptiste and Tristan Bhajan;
sister, Gloria (Leroy) Bannister;
niece, Aaliyah (Ferris) Batie;
and great niece, Gabriella Batie.
Frank was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clay and Maria Brooks.
