Roberta Jean Severn, age 81, of Otisville died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. A memorial service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Mt. Morris Community Church 7245 N Center Rd, Mt. Morris. Cremation has taken place. Roberta’s family will be present at church to receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Mt. Morris Community Church. Envelopes are available at the church.
Roberta was born January 23, 1933, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Albert and Lucille (Shutts) Sears. She graduated from Beecher High School, Class of 1950. Roberta married Harvey J. Severn on May 1, 1954, at Flint, Michigan. Roberta enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and gardening. She was a long time member of the Valley Toll Group, Master Gardeners Association of Genesee County and a member of the Mt. Morris Community Church.
Left to cherish her memory, her husband Harvey; three children, Dan (Theresa) Severn, Sue (Chuck) Bunting and Jeff (Kathy Johnston) Severn; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; special friend, Bea; and many other family members and friends.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim and her great-grandson, Seth.
