Mrs. Natalie Johnson Henry was born on April 25, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. The only daughter of Grace and Joseph Embry, Natalie’s childhood was spent in Chicago where she attended grammar school until her family moved to Flint, Michigan in 1968. As a resident of Flint, Michigan, Natalie graduated from Carmen High School in 1977. She subsequently attended Mott Community College and met Undra Henry.
Undra and Natalie were married on October 17, 1998 in Texarkana, Arkansas. They were entwined in a loving marriage for the next 17 years. Although Natalie and Undra never had children of their own, Natalie’s mission to mother, nurture, mentor and spoil children much more fulfilling.
On November 20, 2015, after fighting cancer for 2 ½ years, God called upon his daughter to come home and Natalie lost her courageous battle here on earth. Natalie’s family and friends would readily attest to her love, compassion, amazing generosity and overall giving disposition. However, her greatest accomplishments and pride radiated through her life as a loving Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Mentor, and a Friend to all who were a part of her life. Natalie will forever be loved, appreciated and remembered by many.
She leaves to cherish in God’s care her husband Undra Henry of Grand Prairie, Texas; Mother, Grace Johnson of Flint, Michigan; Brothers: Nigel Johnson of Houston, Texas and Andre Johnson of Flint, Michigan; Sister- in- Law Cheria (James) Tweety of Nashville, Tennessee; Brother-in-Laws: Eugene (Deidre) Roriex and Maurice Roriex, both of Flint, Michigan; Aunts: Donna M. Martin, Nylar (Charles) Jupree, Vanessa Terrell, Nadine Roberts and Renee Craighead all of Flint, Michigan; Uncles: Condy Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Johnny (Karen) Washington Jr. of Detroit, Michigan, Hubert (Debra) Roberts of Flint, Michigan and Darryl Roberts of Atlanta, Georgia; Great Aunts: Mrs. Easter Burns and Mrs. Ernestine Armstrong both of Los Angeles, California.
There are a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces, great nephews, as well as, a host of other relatives and close friends including family friends; Ms. Arlene Berkins of Saint Louis, Missouri, Ms. Carla Breame and Family of Arlington, Texas, Ms. Yolandra Drake and Cousin Haley of Houston, Texas, Mike (Stephanie) Ivy of Shreveport, Louisiana, Lerond (Georgia) Moore of Chicago, Illinois, Marvin (Marquetta) Lovelace and Family of Mansfield, Texas, Ms. Linda Stewart and Ms. Veve Ryan both of Flint, Michigan.
Please accept our humble apology to any family member or friend that we may have failed to mention.
Natalie was preceded in death by Grandmother Donna M. Roberts, Great Grandmother Easter Hall and Uncle Miles Martin.
The family would like to extend a special expression of appreciation to Ms. Debra Rundles, Dr. Taminu and Staff at Arlington Medical Center and all those that loved our Natalie.
