KNOWLTON, Garry L. – of Flint, age 69, passed away May 9, 2015 at McLaren – Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Pastor Jan Duce officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to COPD Foundation, www.copdfoundation.org.
Garry was born in Durand, MI on June 22, 1945, son of the late Harold and Verna (Ihlenfeld) Knowlton. Garry married Imogene Gregg on September 28, 1974 in Flint. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, cards, board games, pool, bowling and music. Garry was an avid sports fan and huge Detroit supporter. He had a fierce competitive nature but did so with a smile. Most of all, he loved his grandkids and spoiling them rotten.
Garry is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Imogene; daughter, Tamara (Dwayne) Jones; step-daughter, Sharon Hall; step-son, Mike (Sharmane) Bice; grandchildren, Michael James (Tammy) Bice, Justin Michael (Cynthia) Kolberg, Jeremy Lee Hall, Keri Hall, Rana Jones and Gabe Jones; great-grandchildren, Aubry, Jack, Madelyn, Selena, Chase, Vincent and special babysitter to, Ella; brothers, Ken (Nicki) Knowlton, Tom (Blanca) Knowlton and Steve (Judy) Knowlton. He was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, John and Dick; sisters, Shirley and Janice.
