Sutton, Donna of Flushing, age 83, died Sunday, May 31, 2015, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Community of Christ Church.
Donna was born in Flint, Michigan on July 29, 1931, the daughter of Lyle and Ruth (Carlson) Barker. She married Albert Sutton on October 6, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2012. Donna was employed by Flushing Community Schools and retired as a Secretary for Seymour Elementary after 20 years. She was a member of Community of Christ Church in Clio where she was an ordained Minister and active in Church Women United. Donna was also a member of the Women's Auxillary of the Clio American Legion. She enjoyed sewing and reading.
Donna is survived by her sons, Michael and wife Gwen Sutton of Owosso, Patrick and wife Crystal Sutton of Bolingbrook, IL, Timothy and wife Kendra Sutton of Swartz Creek, Bryan and wife Lisa Sutton of Flushing; seven grandchildren, Ron, Melissa, Aron, Megan, Allison, Samantha, Danielle; and great-granddaughter, Alecia. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Jack Barker. |
