SUTTON, Jack D. – of Davison, age 88, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4-7 pm, to be immediately followed by military honors under the auspices of the American Legion – Lapeer Post #16 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
Jack was born in Columbiaville, MI on February 15, 1929, son of the late Alfred and Margaret (Traver) Sutton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Kobe, Japan where he met and married his wife of 59 years, Kikuko Komori. Jack retired from GM Flint Metal Fabricating in 1987 after 27 years of service.
Surviving are: children Dale Sutton, Dan (Beverly) Sutton, Katrina (Bill) Guttrich, Carrie (Cathy) Sutton and Tony (Carl) Sutton; grandchildren, Alison (Alex Siller) and Jordan; and brother Erwin (Doris). He was preceded in death by his wife, Kikuko; brother, Robert and sister, Irene. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff in the Legacy Lane at The Oaks at Woodfield.
