ROSS, Dorothy Virginia (McDiarmid) - Age 104, of Flushing, died Thursday, March 5, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones. Funeral service will take place 1 PM, Monday, March 9, 2020, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will take place from 2 PM to 8 PM on Sunday and again from 12 PM until the time of the service Monday. Dorothy was born on October 7, 1915 in Flint the daughter of Finley and Gertrude (Davis) McDiarmid. She graduated from Flint Northern High School. Dorothy and Loyal Ross were united in marriage on August 9, 1936 in Flint. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, spending time at the lake, crocheting and going shopping. She is survived by her 3 children, Loretta Hilliker, Bill (Vicki) Ross and Susie Bentley; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Dawn O'Dell. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal; parents, Finley and Gertrude McDiarmid; 2 daughters, Ginger Albert and Janette (Dale) Kilmer; 2 granddaughters, Linda and Sherrie; and 3 siblings, Violet Gauthier, Arthur McDiarmid and Leslie McDiarmid.
