PETRELLA, Dessie Irene “Pat”, age 81, of Flint, died Thursday, January 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, with Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 pm to 8 pm. Pat was born on May 16, 1931 in Carter County, Kentucky, the daughter of Albert and Nella (Barker) Porter. She retired from G.M. Fisher Body- Ternstedt plant in 1976. She was very involved with her family always enjoyed cooking for them as well as spending time just talking with everyone. She also was a great fan of bluegrass and country music. Pat is survived by her children Clint (Kathy) Petrella of Otisville and Larry Petrella of Burton, grandchildren Brian Petrella, Keith (Tonja) Petrella, Amy (Scott) Connally, Gwyn (Brad) Abbott, and Nicole Petrella, and great grandchildren Andrew, Rebecca, Cassandra, Jared, Jacob, Jackson and Emma. She is also survived by her sister, Della McGlone, as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her dear husband Harmon, beloved son Dexter, and several brothers and sisters. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.brownfh.com. |
