JONES, James Lee – Of Fenton, age 70, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Minister Troy Postlethwait officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on October 25, 1947, the son of Elmer and Jessie (Roy) Jones.
On November 22, 1969 he married Shirley Oliver at Church of Christ in Flint.
He was a member of Church of Christ in Grand Blanc, Welfare Lodge #517, F.&A.M., Shriner’s and member of VFW Post #6864.
He loved golf, hunting, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Surviving are wife, Shirley;
children, Steven (Jennifer) Jones,
Tricia (Leonard) Swinehart,
Toni (Jeff) Fahey and
Craig Jones;
11 grandchildren;
13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Jones.
