Klee, Violet Mae (Weed) – of Vassar, age 89, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 29, 2020 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 916 W. Huron Ave., Vassar, MI 48768; Pastor James Saatkamp officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. A private visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and a public visitation from10-11 AM Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Vassar.
Violet was born in Flint, MI on March 7, 1931, daughter of the late Lorenzo and Reathel (Donley) Weed. She married Harold T. Klee in Flint, MI on August 19, 1950 and he preceded her in death on October 30, 1997. Violet was an office manager for YMCA for 13 years, retiring in May of 1996. She was the in home Service Coordinator for the Alcona County Commission on Aging. Violet was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Swartz Creek, MI for over 35 years and was a true lover of animals.
Violet is survived by her daughter, Jennifer; grandchildren, Steven (Jolene) Brannam, Heather (Garfield) Teddy; great grandchildren, Brice, Rachel, Andrew and Logan. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Chaney.
