JONES, Joy Ann – of Flushing, age 62, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Wellbridge of Fenton. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dale Lewis officiating. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Saginaw. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 12 -8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Joy was born August 3, 1955 in Mason, Michigan to the late Hugh and Jeanie (Aldrich) Sperling. She grew up in Beecher and has resided in the Clio area for the past 25 years. She attended Northwestern High School. On December 4, 1972 she married Dennis L. Jones at 1st Presbyterian Church in Flint, Michigan. Prior to her retirement in 1997, Joy was a Bus Driver for the Clio area schools for 20 years. She was a member of the “Dollar Special Club” and liked to make people laugh, especially the kids. Joy enjoyed crocheting, cooking, dressing up like santa, and always lived up to her name. Family was her motivation with cancer and she genuinely loved people.
Surviving are: Husband of 45 years, Dennis; Children, Laura Forsyth,, Johnie (Jennifer) Jones, Lesia Jones, Linda (Matt) Saenz; Grandchildren, Alicia (Ray) Fawbush, Christina (Gary) Hill, Gabrielle (Keifer) Smith, Anna Jones, Zachary Forsyth, Dennis Loiselle, Amber Jones, Logan Forsyth, Mariah Saenz, Rosa Saenz, Lesia Saenz; Great Grandchildren, Tristen Gorman, Summerray Fawbush, Lucas Hill, Onnalesia Gorman, Xavier Jones; Brothers, Hugh (Christine) Sperling, Edward Hawkins, Joseph Hawkins; Sisters, Betty (Ronald) Jones, Kay (Ivan) Wamsley, Diane Kienutske, Deborah (Neil) Scott; and several nieces and nephews.
