HEISER, Leta June (Risdon) – of Freeport, MI, formerly of Davison, MI, age 88, went home to Jesus on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, April 12, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Bruce Badder officiating. Interment will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 11 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Strength in Numbers, in Leta’s memory.
Leta was born in Otisville, MI on August 4, 1935, daughter of the late Charles and Nina (Elliott) Risdon. She married Charles Heiser on April 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2005. Leta worked as a custodian for Davison schools from 1968 until retiring in 1990.
Leta is survived by her loving children, Paul (Jeannie) Heiser, Julie (Bruce) O’Conor, Daneise (Tim) McCue and estranged daughter, Janean (Ken) Surbrook; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson; siblings, Martha Weeks, Cuma Wickard, Joyce Gnirs; special friends, Don (Sharol) Wheaton, Theresa Mendoza and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by sons, Raymond in 2011 and Randell in 2024; grandson Jayson Heiser in 1977; 7 brothers and 1 sister.
