Jerry L. Newman, age 84, of Holly, died Wed. June 19, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Mon. June 24, 2019 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly with Pastor Philip Martyn officiating. Burial will be in Hadley Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 2-9 PM Sun. Mr. Newman was born in Flint on Nov. 24, 1934 to Elton and Clara (Davis) Newman. He was an owner of Newman Brothers Excavating since 1964 and was a member of the Yesteryears antique tractor club. He loved his grandkids and great-grandkids and his dog Lucky. He was always a boisterous jokester, and he enjoyed his antique tractors and trucks. He is survived by his wife Kathryn; 4 children, Charles (Lori) Newman, Michael (Laura) Newman, Janet (William) Hall, and Sandra (Robert) Whitman; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Don (Carol) Newman; and many nieces and nephews.
