Our Beloved Aunt Annie passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Cartwright Care Center in Saginaw; age 95 years. Anna Ureche was born on March 19, 1919 to the late Eli and Garifalia Ureche. She was married to Louis Christmas on October 23, 1937; he predeceased her on March 13, 1978. Annie was employed by GM Ternstedt Fisher Body for many years until her retirement. After her retirement they relocated to Frankenmuth. She was an active member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards, and visiting with friends and family.
Surviving are: 2 special nephews, Tim (Jane) Dijak of Saginaw, MI, Dan (Lori Reetz) Dijak of Saginaw, MI; 3 special nieces, Karen (Tom) Jesselaitis of Saginaw, MI, Joan (Don) McCullagh of Saginaw, MI, Patricia Freedman of Saginaw, MI; a special brother-in-law, Jake Dijak of Saginaw MI; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Annie was preceded in death by; 4 brothers, Tom, George, Pete, and Dan; a sister, Marian; a special sister-in-law Margaret Dijak; and special friend Fran Centeck.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate with burial in St. Andrews Cemetery, Saginaw. Annie’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a Vigil Service on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
