HOLBROOK, Anna Jean – Of Flint Township, age 87, died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Willowbrook Manor, with her loving family present.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Eddie Thompson
officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Anna was born in Genoa, West Virginia on November 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Boyd and Mary (Cyrus) Thompson.
On September 1, 1956 she married Billy Gene Holbrook at Baptist Church of Louisa, Kentucky.
She was a loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, devoted homemaker and gardener.
Mrs. Holbrook was employed by GM for 18 years.
Surviving are children, Larry (Laura) Holbrook,
Steve Holbrook,
Debbie (Bryan) Saville,
Teresa (Dave) Boa,
Mike Holbrook,
Ron (Claudette) Holbrook;
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene, in 2007 and daughter, Mary Holbrook, in 2014.
