LIDTKE, Gerald Duane – of Davison, age 78, passed away October 11, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held 11 AM, Monday, October 15, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison, MI., 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. A Committal Service will be 10 AM, Tuesday in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 PM – 8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesys-Hurley Cancer Center.
Gerald was born August 7, 1940 in Sebeka, Minnesota, son of the late Wilferd and Meta (Ehrky). He married Patricia Vandenbussche at Selfridge Air Force Base on June 6, 1964. Gerald was a proud member of the Teamsters Union and Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison. He served with the United States Air Force from 1961 until 1965 during the Vietnam War.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Jodi (Paul) Hines, Lea (Darryl) Hubbell, and Dana (James) Scholts; grandchildren, Alyssa Lidtke, J.D. Lidtke, Samantha Hines, Cole Hines, Austin Scholts, Lena Hubbell, Sheyenne Scholts, Tyler Hubbell and Cameron Scholts; great-grandchildren, Nadia Crowe, Charlie Kotowicz, Jacob Lidtke, Carter Lidtke and Dawson Newnham. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon and sister-in-law, Mary Lidtke.
