LACKEY, Mark L. - Of Grand Blanc, age 50, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Mr. Lee Ballard officiating.
Visitation 2-8pm Sunday and 11am Monday until the service at 1pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Mark was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on November 20, 1967, the son of Maurice and Judi (Strand) Lackey. On May 5, 2001, Mark married Julie Gapczynski in Fenton, Michigan. Mark was a full-time dad and youth mentor. He was active with Grand Blanc Youth Wrestling, Grand Blanc Little league and Grand Blanc Cats Travel Baseball.
Surviving are wife, Julie Lackey;
children, Katherine Thompson (Daniel), Dylan Lackey and Aidan Lackey;
granddaughter, Emma;
parents, Maurice “Mo” and Judi Lackey;
two sisters and many nieces, nephews and friends.
