SMITH, Mary V. - Of Grand Blanc, age 91, died Saturday, April 9, 2016
at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc,
Monsignor Jerry Vincke officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
Visitation 4-7pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 9:30am Wednesday at church until the time of the Mass.
Mary was born on August 5, 1924 in Dallas, Texas. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, counted cross stich, family and friends and she enjoyed traveling and 28 winters in Hawaii. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 47 years and St. Joseph Guild and 55 and Over Club.
Surviving are husband of 71 years, Charron “Smitty”;
children, Linda Smith (Jim) Legeret, Michael (Trish Zito) Smith, Nancy Smith’ Yeckl, Kerry (Guy) Pierce, and Kenneth (Sheri) Smith;
8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren;
niece, Suzanne (Gale) Dallas Whitney;
She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Olga and father, Benjamin Judson, brother, William Judson and daughter, Janet (Mark) Davies.
The family wishes to thank special caregiver, Barb Boxell.
