BOLLIS, Jean Marie (Limmer) - Of Grand Rapids, formerly of Grand Blanc, age 74, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
Funeral service will be held 12pm Thursday, April 17, 2014
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Gary L. McInnis officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Area Valley for the Aging or the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
Visitation 12-3pm and 5-8pm Wednesday and 11am Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jean was born in Flint on April 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Mae (Cook) Limmer. She married Robert Bollis on August 13 1960 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2009. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church; Disabled Veterans Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling at Grand Blanc Lanes.
Surviving are children, Mark, Dale and wife, Dawn, Donald and wife, Jill, Todd and wife, Daniela, Dawn Bollis, Tim;
12 grandchildren;
brothers, Francis and Ralph Limmer; sisters, Ruth Schmitzer, Elizabeth Stawasz and Lorraine Raleigh;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Al, Jerry and Wayne Limmer, 2 sisters, Shirley Atkinson and Caroline Thurman
