Mr. LaFave 63 passed away Tuesday September 27, 2016 at St. Mary’s Longterm Care following a lingering. He was born in Flint on May 9, 1953 to the late Robert & Gertrude (Trombley) LaFave. Dennis lived in Flint until five years ago when he moved to the family’s cabin where he wanted to be. He was a fun loving guy that loved making people laugh. He enjoyed the yearly hunting trips, fishing, playing cards but especially being with his family.
He is survived by his siblings Robert & Joyce LaFave, Gilbert & Debbie LaFave, Grace Privett, Linda Bouchard and John & Sherry LaFave; many nieces, nephews and cousins who thought the world of him. He was preceded in death by a sister Janet Huggins. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Coleen and the Compassus Hospice staff and the nurses & staff at St. Mary’s of Standish for all your compassion and care.
Funeral Services will be held Friday September 30, 2016 at 11 am from the STANDISH CHAPEL with Rev. Fr. David Parsch presiding with inurnment to follow. Family will greet friends and family on Thursday from 2 to 8 pm and Friday 10 am until time of services.
