SPROUSE, Ronald Edward – of Davison, age 67, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Heritage Manor Healthcare Center. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, October 15, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Entombment will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 -7 PM, Sunday, October 14, 2018. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his grandchildren’s college fund.
Ron was born in Flint, MI on November 15, 1950, son of the late George and June (Merrell) Sprouse. He married Pamela Sue (Overstreet) Willingham on August 16, 1986. Ron worked at Buick for 42.7 years before retiring in October of 2010 when his plant closed. He loved auto racing, and raced at Auto City Speedway and Dixie Motor Speedway in the mid-1980s.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Pam; children, Tammi (Jeff) Brandes, Scott Sprouse; step-son, Christopher (Stephanie) Willingham; grandchildren, Samantha Sprouse, Nicholas and Elizabeth Brandes, Sadie and Elise Willingham; brother, David Sprouse; mother-in-law, Rosemary Overstreet; several nieces; lifelong friend, Brad McGeathy, who was considered family; special friend, Art Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria Wells; nephew, Nol Wells.
