BREGE, Dorothy - Of Grand Blanc, age 78, met Jesus face to face, on August 3, 2012. We praise God for his faithfulness and the mercy He showed her throughout her life. Even though we will miss her dearly, we have the assurance through Christ’s redeeming work on the cross of a grand reunion with her in Heaven.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 402 South Ballenger Highway, Flint,
Pastor Jeffrey Walsh officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Paul Endowment Fund.
Visitation 5-8pm Sunday and 2-4pm and 6-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Dorothy will be at the church from 10am Tuesday until the time of the service.
Dorothy was born in Flint on January 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Dewey and Irma (Wilder) Klee. She was a graduate of Flint Technical High School. On March 22, 1953, she married Robert A. Patterson and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1999. On January 16, 2000, she married Donald R. Brege. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint, member of Dorcas Circle, Choir and Altar Guild. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, walking, reading, boating and spending time with her family. She loved her Savior.
Surviving are husband, Donald;
children, Mark Patterson, Jeanne (Ed) Mantey and Patrick (Kelly) Patterson;
step-daughter, Ann Marie Brege;
grandchildren, Matthew Mantey, Melissa (Justin) Cole, Michael Mantey, Micah Patterson, Samuel Patterson, Sofia Brege and Juliette Brege;
siblings, Arlene Snyder, Robert (Jonel) Klee and John (Marjorie) Klee;
sister-in-laws, Marcelyne Klee, Pat (Dino) Ragnone;
brother-in-law, Gordon Schmald.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Klee, Harold Klee, Edwin Klee, sister, Geraldine Pratt, brother-in-law, Elton Pratt and sister-in-law, Peggy Schmald.
