HARRINGTON, Gerald “Jerry” Robert – of Flint, MI, age 83, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Cremation will take place following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, in Jerry’s memory.
Jerry was born in Flint, MI on June 15, 1935, son of the late Richard and Mildred (Williams) Harrington. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jerry married Patricia Welch on March 26, 1976. He retired from Michigan Fence and was a member of Laborers Local #1075. Jerry enjoyed going on cruises, visiting casinos and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Pat; 7 children, Deb LaLonde, Jim (Ronda) Welch, Gregg Welch, Steve (Loretta) Welch, Deanna (Ryan) Hawthorne, Patrick Welch and Jim Harrington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Carol, Lorraine and Sharon; brother, Ken; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Geraldine; grandson, Kenneth LaLonde; 3 brothers, Neil, Larry and Don.
