Mary Lou Lobdell
Our beloved mother, Mary Lou Lobdell passed away peacefully under hospice care on Tuesday June 25, 2019, just a few days after her 84th birthday. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Forrest Lobdell as well as her parents, Merrit and Marion Mathews, siblings Margaret Cockerill and her husband William Cockerill and brothers Larry Mathews and Douglas Mathews. Mary Lou leaves behind her four daughters, Melanie Strodel and her husband William Strodel, Cynthia Navarre, Lori Lobdell and significant other Craig Schlereth and Stacy Thayer. Additionally, Mary Lou is survived by eleven grandchildren Matthew Strozeski, Joshua Strozeski, William Strodel, Forrest Strodel, Alexis Navarre, Jillian Navarre, Luke Kitchen, Jacob Kitchen, Max Schlereth, Kelsey Thayer and MacKenzie Thayer, plus ten great-grandchildren.
Mary Lou graduated Mayville High School, Class of 1953. She retired from Caro Regional Center where she worked in accounting.
Mary Lou was a life-long member of the Caro United Methodist Church.
Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the Arrowhead Gold Course from 1pm to 3pm.
