Withey, Mavis F. - Age 95, of Davison, passed away November 7, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Tuesday, November 12 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Pastor Cory Snyder officiating. Interment at Crestwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held 10AM Tuesday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to her family. Mavis was born January 6, 1924 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of William Howard and Susan Elizabeth (Brown) Eaton. She graduated from Flint Central High School in June 1942. Mavis started working at AC Spark Plug in Flint on July 9, 1942. She married Harold Withey January 31, 1959. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2011. Mavis retired from AC Spark Plug in 1974 with 32 years of service. She enjoyed clogging, line dancing, bowling, and playing cards at the Senior Center in Davison. Mavis is survived by her bonus daughter, Kathleen (Steve) Brown; bonus granddaughters, Alexandria and Samantha Brown; great-nephew and caregivers, Larry and Shirley Cardinal of Flint Township; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Grant Alexander; brothers, Gerald Richardson, Floyd, Kenneth, and Howard Eaton; nephew, Gerald Richardson; nieces, Marilyn Richardson and Susan Laura; sister-in-laws, Louise Richardson, Golda Eaton, Patricia Eaton. Mavis' family extends a special thanks to the McLaren Hospice Team, especially Sara and Dawn, and her special caregiver and friend Angie Bostwick.
