Frank L. Worvie, age 98, of Columbiaville died June 20, 2017 at home with his family.
Frank was born October 2, 1918 in Northville. The son of the late Edgar and Lucy Worvie [Hinks]. He later married Esther Gardener on July 22, 1944 in Lapeer. Frank was an avid golfer till the age of 92, and a charter member of the Davison Country Club, and member of the Lapeer Country Club. He loved playing cribbage, gin, and especially euchre - he could be found playing euchre twice a week at the Backdoor Lounge. He was former member of the Lions Club, was past Grand Marshal of the Columbiaville Days Parade, enjoyed bowling on various leagues in Otter Lake, Lapeer, and Davison. He was a lifetime Dairy Farmer, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, and was a devoted Tigers Fan.
Frank is survived by his children: Kathy (Jack) Kerr, Barry (Donna) Worvie, Lisa (Marc) Dykes, he is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Phillip, and many siblings.
Funeral services 11:00 AM on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit on Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Interment Meadow Lawn Cemetery.
