LAWRENCE, Betty Jean - Of Flint, age 91, died Friday, March 23, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Friday, March 30, 2018
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 4-8pm Thursday and 9am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Betty was born in Flint on December 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Ernest and Marie (Hinz) Batz. On October 21, 1945 she married Robert D. Lawrence in Flint and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2010. She was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and was also a bowling coach and avid golfer.
Surviving are sons, Robert of Las Vegas and Scott of Las Vegas;
daughter, Kimberley and husband Tom Rahl of Eaton Rapids, Michigan;
grandchildren, Daniel (Kaley Mae) Rahl, David (Sara) Rahl, Matthew Lawrence, Kurtis Lawrence, Adam Lawrence and Maria Lawrence;
great-grandchildren, Kahlan Rahl, Alexander Rahl and Ethan Rahl.
Betty was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard and Sidney Batz and sisters, Emmaline Ginger and Patricia Kauffman.
