SEGREN, Marjorie L. – of Flint, age 85, passed away May 10, 2014 at home. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, May 12, 2014 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd., Flint; Pastor Gary Beck officiating. Burial will be in Thetford Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Monday, family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or Animal Rescue.
Marjorie was born in Flint, MI on May 27, 1928, daughter of the late Harry and Margarett (Dasen) Rhodes. She married Bruce Segren on February 19, 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1981. Marjorie was a very active member at St. Mark Lutheran Church. She loved her church family very much. Marjorie volunteered at Crossroads Village. Her greatest love were her children and grandchildren.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Debbie Williams, Darlene (David) Wade, Denise (Paul) Gray, David (Linda) Segren; grandchildren, Leslie Beam, Jaime Beam, Burt (Whitney) Beam, Sara (Michael) Scott, Emily Wade, Brent Segren, Don (Jenny) Gray, Pauly Gray; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Trinity, Addison, Blaze, Jack, Lilly; great-great-grandchildren, Alphonse and AnnaBella.
