FREY, Joan Jean (Clark) – of Flint, MI, age 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 21, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, November 26, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Jason Crum officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Monday, November 26, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home.
Joan was born in Flint, MI on November 10, 1935, the eldest daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Stevens) Clark. She married Jack Frey on June 20, 1953 and they shared 50 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 21, 2003. Joan enjoyed gardening, bowling and sewing as well as helping people during her time at the Jim Mathis shoe store.
Joan is survived by 3 sons, Dale (Kathy) Frey, Jeff Frey and Jerry (Lynn) Frey; 6 grandchildren, Melissa Bradshaw, Jeniffer (Steve) Stiles, Nicholas (Tina) Frey, Jay (Heather) Frey, Eric (Stephanie) Frey and Olivia Frey; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Don Clark, Joyce Martin and Linda (James) Boots. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Oliver Woods Retirement Village of Owosso, MI.
