DODGE, Ronald F. - Of Flint Twp., age 78, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, September 14, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 South Ballenger, Flint,
Jeffrey B. Walsh, Pastor officiating.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Children’s Miracle Network or Genesee County Humane Society.
Visitation 1-3pm and 5-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Thursday at church until the time of the service.
Ronald was born in Flint on March 19, 1939, the son of the late William and Leona (Austin) Dodge. On May 7, 1960, he married Judy in Flint. Ronald retired from Buick after 36 years of service. He was also a Committeeman for UAW Local #599. Ronald served on the Board of Directors at Security Credit Union. He loved golfing, fishing with his 2 brothers and meeting up with his “Coffee Crew”. He also loved making peanut butter sandwiches and throwing them out the window for his squirrel friends. Ronald was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Surviving are wife, Judy;
children, Debbie Donald and fiance, Keith Lawrence, Dan and wife Sheryl Lilya, Renee and husband Gary Fuller, and Courtney and husband Corin Cody;
grandchildren, Chris, Chelsea, Cameron, Brandon, Nick, Michael, Danny, Elyse, Jeffery, Brittney and Lily;
7 great-grandchildren;
aunt, Rhea Sullivan; many nieces and nephews;
sisters-in-law, Gwen Dodge, Sandy Dodge, and Laura Halstead
best friend, “Brother” Gene Ridley;
special neighbors, Alicia, Terry and Kaidyn Lewis.
He was preceded in death by sister, Patty Allen and brothers, Bill Dodge and Mike Dodge.
