Joan “Jody” Leahy, 83, of Beaverton, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at her home. She was born on July 11, 1937, the daughter of Wally & Anne Ball in Unionville. On November 23, 1963, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gerald Leahy, at St. Joe’s Catholic Church in Bay City. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 56 years: Gerald Leahy of Beaverton; daughter: Jackie (Dan) Osborn of Swartz Creek; Jeff (Sherri) Leahy of Phoenix, AZ; 3 grandsons: Dylan, Jace, and Jackson. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. Memorial Mass will be conducted by Father Dan Fox on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace (St. Agnes), Sanford. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made according to Our Lady of Grace Parish, Sanford or Wonded Vet (DAV) #18 in Bay City.
