Lynda Schimpf (nee: John) “Lynne”, age 88, was born on January 14, 1927 and passed away on August 7, 2015. At the age of 3, after immigrating with her family to the U.S. from Wales, Lynda was raised in the Milan, Michigan area. She married Don Schimpf in 1951 and his service in the U.S. Army took them to Germany for the next several years. Upon return, they moved to Flint, where they raised their 3 children. Lynda spent the remainder of her life in the Flint area, residing in Flushing & Linden. Lynda is preceded by husband Donald and son Mark. She is survived by daughters; Kay (Paul) Mayworm and Karyn (Marc) Blissett, and grandsons Taylor Blissett and Logan Blissett. She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. If you would like to share memories of Lynda “Lynne”, please join the family in celebrating her life on Saturday August 22, 2015, 1-5pm at the Fenton Community Center, 150 S. Leroy St., Fenton.
