KRASCELL, Alice (Strahm) - of Clio, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Medilodge of Montrose. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev. Fr. Robert McGraw officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home on Monday from 2-8PM and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30AM until time of Mass at 10AM. Scripture service 7PM Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Alice was born August 6, 1921 the daughter of Fred and Martha (Muhlman) Strahm. She married Eugene Krascell on March 1, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1996. She worked many years at AC Spark Plug. She was a member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. She and her husband enjoyed polka dancing, fishing and hunting.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Alice (Mick) Dowd; Shirley (Ron) Nielson; grandchildren: Michael (Darcy) Dowd, Bridgette (Joel) Bachler, Jeff (Debby) Nielson, Ron (Lisa) Nielson; great grandchildren: Erin and Lauren Dowd, Makayla and Caleb Bachler, Jeffrey (Shaina) Nielson, Sabelle Nielson, Ryan (Heather) Rice, Chad Rice, Savannah and Dane Nielson; brother, Charles Strahm; sister, Thelma Percy; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Martha and Helen. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Medilodge of Montrose for their many years of love and compassion.
