RICHARDSON, Robert “Bob” E. – of Clio, age 89, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to West Vienna United Methodist Church or Reverence Hospice.
Bob was born August 21, 1929 in Thetford Township, Michigan to the late Donald and Agnes (Curtis) Richardson. He graduated from Clio High School in 1948. Bob married Jane Hewitt on December 31, 1949 in Clio. He retired from General Motors in 1986 after 36 years of seniority. Bob was a member of West Vienna United Methodist Church for many years. He instilled the love of hunting and fishing in his grandchildren. Bob enjoyed reading, watching westerns and taking walks. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Jane Richardson; Children: Penny (David) Schwartz, Susan Richardson, and Bob Richardson; Grandchildren: Brad (Marcy) Hardy, Jason Hardy, Christopher (Steph) Schwartz, Sarah (Scott) Blasdell, Robert (Sarah) Richardson, and 12 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Witmer. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dan, Samantha, Marge, and Matthew from Reverence Hospice for their compassionate care of Bob during his final days.
