GREER, Edward N. – of Burton, age 72, went home to be with the Lord December 15, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Davison Free Methodist Church, 502 Church St., Davison, MI; Pastor Brad Button officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI. On Wednesday, there will be visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Free Methodist Church Food Pantry.
Edward was born in Flint on December 1, 1940, son of the late Elmer “Pat” and Agnes (Dundes) Greer. Edward married Gerrie Ann (Rau) Medich on April 7, 1962 in Flint. The Greers are active members of Davison Free Methodist Church. Edward retired from GM in 1993 with 32 ½ years of service.
Edward is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gerrie; children, Ken and wife, Patty Greer, Michael and wife, Aleta Medich; grandchildren, Garret and Kyle Greer, Chantelle and Jim Cwiklinski, Krista Clark, Alyssa, Ryan and Azaria Lively; great-grandchildren, Cody Hinkle, Isabelle Schillman and Cayden Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Wilson.
