MIDDLETON, Loretta Jane (Luckado) -- Age 65, of Flint, went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held 11AM Saturday, September 5 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, Interment in River Rest Cemetery . Bishop Richard W. Mosely of Gods Tabernacle of Truth Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Saturday, September 5 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Loretta was born in Flint, MI at St. Joseph Hospital on February 9, 1950, the daughter of Ida Lewis (Luckado) and James Middleton. She resided in Flint all of her life. She attended Parkland an Emerson schools and is a graduate of Northern High School. She was also a gradate of Edwards School of Cosmetology. She was at one time employed at Hurley Medical Center. She also worked at AC Delphi, a division of General Motors. She retired in 1998 with 28 years of service. She was also a member of Local 651.
Her hobbies were gardening and her favorite flower was roses (yellow). She also enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She loved to shop and was a sharp dresser. She had a great love for Jesus and loved to read the Bible. She loved her mom and they were extremely close, when you see one, you would see the other. She was a people person who loved to converse. She loved her dogs Peaches, Pebbles and Precious, which are with her now.
Her surviving relatives include her loving mother Ida Lewis (Luckado), sister Brenda Luckado, brother Terry Fulgham (Luckado), nieces; Cometrice Williams of Flint, Tawana Underwood of Detroit, Nashawn and husband Clifton Jefferson of Flint, Ilakesia Luckado of Flint, Zakia Fox of Lakeland, FL, nephews; George Campbell, Rev. Skeeter and wife Donna Holmes of Flint, Alan Fulgham of Atlanta, GA and Jabar Fulgham of Tampa, FL; 35 great and great-great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins of Flint, MI, Toledo, OH and Washington State. Other family also include the Luckado, Woodson, Black, Prince, Brown, O'Neal, Miller and Howell families.
She was preceded in death by father, James Middleton, grandmothers Ester Howell, Luretter Luckado, grandfather Nelson Luckado, step-fathers Williester Fulgham and Bill Lewis.
