MURPHY, Margaret Anne (McCabe)(DeYonker) - Of Flint, age 89, died Monday, April 20, 2015 at her residence.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10am Thursday, May 21, 2015, at St. Matthew Church, 706 Beach Street, Flint,
Father Frederick H. Taggart, O.S.A. officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday, May 20, 2015 with a Rosary 7pm Wednesday evening at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Margaret was born in Flint on June 18, 1925, the daughter of Michael and Ethel (Daly) McCabe. On August 23, 1947, she married Jack DeYonker and he preceded her in death in 1978. She then married Daniel Murphy in 1982 and he preceded her in death in 2004. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Flint, former member of St. Michael, St. Luke’s and St. John Vianney Catholic Churches. Margaret was a Registered Nurse and worked at St. Joseph Hospital.
Surviving are daughters, Pam (Joseph) Morrison, Libby (Larry) Habitz, Ellen (Gary) Gunderson, Stacey (Stephen) Slaga;
son, Joseph (Connie) DeYonker;
15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by son, John in 2005.
