LOVETT, Dorothy – of Burton, age 81, passed away November 28, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 6 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Visitation will begin at 4 PM until the time of the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hurley Medical Center Child Life’s Program.
Dorothy was born in Flint, MI on March 25, 1937, daughter of the late Albert and Elsie (Johnson) Vermette. She married Russell E. Lovett in 1960 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2008. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafting. She was also known for her baking and good cooking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Tony (Cathy) Lovett, Kim Lovett and Brian (Jane) Lovett; grandchildren, Brett, Ashley and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Haisly and Jack; sister, Jean Herrick; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Jacqueline Vermette.
