Hollis, Marsha J. of Clio, age 55, died Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Genesys Health Park. A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Flushing United Methodist Church. Pastor Jeanne Wisenbaugh will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. at the church until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Marsha was born in Flint, Michigan on February 20, 1960, the daughter of Walfred and Marion (Williams) Jurvelin. She married David Hollis on May 12, 2000. Marsha graduated from Beecher High School in 1978 as the Valedictorian. She later received her bachelor's degree from Baker College. Marsha was employed by Waste Management for 26 years. She loved spending time in the water and enjoyed reading. Marsha's greatest love was spending time with her family and she was dedicated to all them, even taking care of her parents until they both passed away earlier this year.
Marsha is survived by her husband, David; children, Tyler Creed, Camaron Hollis, Sierra Hollis; siblings, Rob (Penny) Jurvelin, Don (Marcie) Jurvelin, Shelley (Lenny) Hufton, Amy (Dee) Niver; brother-in-law, Doug (Betty) Hollis, beloved dog, Sophie and her large and extended family.
