Swank, Charlene Nettie, - Age 93, of Grand Blanc, died March 17, 2020. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 5-8 PM and Sunday from 1 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 2237 Reid Road, Grand Blanc, MI 49439. Charlene was born November 25, 1926 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Cornelius Mitchell and Nella Mae (Snover) Mol. She married William P. Swank on September 28, 1951 in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2004. She had resided in Grand Blanc since 2009 coming from Oregon. She attended New Life Christian Fellowship, and had been a member of Wealthy Street Baptist Church in Grand Rapids where she was a member of the choir and a soloist. Charlene enjoyed rollerskating, swimming, computer games, exercising and bowling. She is survived by her children, Daniel N. (Kristi) Swank of Grand Blanc, James W. (Any) Swank of Salem, OR., Joseph A. (Laurie) Swank of Fernley, NV., and Thomas J. Swank of Grand Blanc; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan K. Gray; brothers, Charles Larson and Roger Mol; sisters, Betty Morse and Phyllis Hoogerwerf.
