PINTER, Stephen G. – of Davison, age 76, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held 10 AM, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Chaplain Hank Messing will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Visitation will take place Friday, December 13, 2019 from 3-8 PM. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial Contributions may be considered to National Kidney Foundation of Michigan – Flint Branch, 411 E 3rd Street, Flint MI 48503.
Stephen was born in Flint on February 4, 1943 son of the late Stephen and Marylee (Oliver) Pinter. He attended Flint Central High School, graduating in 1961. There, “Stevee” met and eventually married his high school sweetheart, Julie Nelson on September 22, 1962. Of that union were born three children who benefited from his work at Flint Toy and Athletic Supply. Steve then worked and retired from Michigan Sanitary Supply which became Supply Pro. He served as President of the Washington School Teen Club. This lead him to being the President of the Bentley Athletic Boosters for many years. He was very proud of the money raised for the students at the many fundraising events. Steve also was a member of Sales and Marketing Executives in 1987. He was very involved with his sons and the Cub Scouts of America, Pack 160. Steve’s greatest pastime was spending time with his family and friends.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Julia Pinter; three children, Anita (David) Tebo, David Pinter, Bryan (Melissa) Pinter; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Jordan, Jessica, Alyssa, Tyler, David, Megan; great-grandson, Jaxtyn; brother, Tim Pinter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
