December 22, 2012 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Chaplain Larry DeShano officiating. Burial to follow at Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Friday from 12-7PM with a memorial at 6PM hosted by the Montrose Masonic Lodge #428 and on Saturday from 12PM until the time of services at 1PM. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family.
Michael was born January 21, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Daniel and Beatrice (Clements) Nathan. He graduated from Chesaning High School. Mike married Jeanette Darlene McNiel on January 14, 1963. She preceded him in death in 2004. Based out of Fort Hood, TX, Mike served in the U.S. Army during 1963-1964. He retired in 2003 as a millwright for GM Saginaw Grey Iron after 40 years, where he was a member of the UAW Local 668. Mike was a member of the Montrose Masonic Lodge # 428. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, puttering and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are: children, Cindy (Larry) DeShano of Montrose, Darald Nathan of Lewisville, TX; 3 grandchildren, Joshua DeShano, Isabella and Nicholas Nathan; sister, Mary Ecker of East Jordan; lots of other family and friends.
