KALLIS, Louis – Of Swartz Creek, age 82, died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Regency of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, January 8, 2016 at
Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 East Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc, Father Angelo Maggos officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring, may make contributions to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Trisagion Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Louis was born in Flint, Michigan on October 1, 1933,the son of Nickolas and Vasiliki (Jonas) Kallis.
On August 20, 1967 he married Susan Markou in Greece.
He served in the U.S. Army in South Korea.
He was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church and was involved with the choir.
Mr. Kallis was past owner of the Argonaut Lounge.
Surviving are wife, Susan;
children, James and wife Stella Kallis of Troy,
George and wife Shannon Kallis of Florida;
grandchildren, Jacqueline, Alyssa and Elias;
sister, Ann and husband Gus Gianakaris of Portage, MI;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Agnes Kallis; brothers, Harold, Naum and William Kallis.
