Henry John Stoklas
Age 87 of Owosso passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Memorial Healthcare.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Deacon Gary Edington officiating. Burial will follow at Fremont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Henry was born October 13, 1929 in Swartz Creek, the son of Stephen and Agnes (Vavrik) Stoklas.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion.
Henry enjoyed fishing, playing cards, trips to the casino and camping with their travel trailer. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Henry married Joanne Honeck on February 11, 1956 in Angola, Indiana.
He retired from the Flint Buick Plant of General Motors after 39 years of service.
Henry is survived by his wife Joanne; children Sandra (Michael) Robinson and Henry Stoklas; grandchildren Jessica (Aaron) Lautenbach, Adam (Tyann) Robinson and Lauren, Ben and Landon Stoklas; great-grandchildren Iyla Lautenbach and Violet Robinson; many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiawassee County Humane Society.
