HATFIELD, Joseph “Thurn” – Of Metamora, Michigan, formerly of Grand Blanc, born on May 6, 1966, passed away at age 52 on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at McLaren-Lapeer.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 12 Noon Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, family officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family hopes that you will donate to your local animal shelter.
Friends and family can pay their respects at 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
He served in many roles at Swartz Ambulance for over 28 years, including EMT, paramedic and culminating in operations Manager.
He is survived by his beloved wife, of 28 years, Dawn Hatfield;
their children, Joshua Hatfield and Halee Hatfield;
sister, Susan (Troy) Cross.
Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Hatfield; his father, Woodrow Hatfield and his uncle, William “Bill” Hatfield.
Joseph had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson, music, traveling, fishing and studying the Hatfield-McCoy feud.
