HERRICK, Mary “G.G.” (Roman) – of Burton, MI, age 101, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, April 19, 2018 at St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church, 230 East Vienna Street, Clio, MI 48420; Rev. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Thursday, April 19, 2018 at St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or to St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church, in Mary’s memory.
Mary was born in Cleveland, OH on March 30, 1917, daughter of the late John and Anna Roman. She married Everett N. Herrick on October 21, 1939 and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1998. Mary retired from AC Spark Plug after many years of service. She was a member of St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by 3 daughters, Judith (William) Bolinger, Sandra (Gary) Blondin and Trudy Filberth; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by 5 siblings and son-in-law, Harry Filberth.
