POPE, Kenneth - Of Flint, age 89, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 1, 2015.
Memorial service will be held 12 Noon Thursday, March 5, 2015 at
North Baptist Church, 4004 Lennon Road, Flint,
Pastor Todd Meece officiating.
Those desiring may make contributions to North Baptist Church.
Visitation 4-7pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Kenneth was born in Flint on August 25, 1925, the son of Frank and Louise (Fryberger) Pope. He was joined in marriage to Doris on December 4, 1945. Kenneth proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Maddox. He was a dedicated member of North Baptist Church. He owned and operated Statewide Glass Co. for many years and was passionate about fishing. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are children, Bob and wife Judy, Kendra and husband Dell Ridley of Flint, Susan and husband Cliff Smith and Karen and husband Don Hall;
10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
