Jerry Brian Pfeiffer, age 78, of Millington, passed away, Friday, April 6, 2018, at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw. A funeral celebrating Jerry’s life will take place 12:00 pm, Friday, April 13, 2018, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Vassar. Pastor Roger Hazen will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and again on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. On Thursday evening, a Masonic Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 pm, conducted under the auspices of the Millington Masonic Lodge #470, F. & A. M. Donations may be made in Jerry’s name to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Jerry was born on November 11, 1939, in Lodi, Ohio to the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion and Mamie (Church) Pfeiffer. He graduated from Wellington High School. Jerry received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute. He married the love of his life, Sharon Sloan, in Grand Blanc, Michigan on January 24, 1976. Jerry worked at Fisher Body & Saginaw Steering Gear for many years, as a Mechanical Engineer. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2380 in Vassar, where he served as the past president, secretary, and treasurer and a member of the Millington Masonic Lodge #470.
Jerry is survived by his wife: Sharon; six children; Michelle Pfeiffer, Eric Pfeiffer, Daniel McClanhan, Charles and wife, Julie Heyd, Marvin Heyd, Corey and wife, Nicole Pfeiffer; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother: Dan Pfeiffer.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Mamie Pfeiffer.
